FILL PIPES
- Lancaster steel silo pipe is a step ahead in quality and durability:
- heavy 20 Guage steel.
- always G-90 galvanized zinc coated.
- pipe flange is a precision stamping, which improves fit and allows consistantly stronger welds.
- flanges are first zinc plated, then yellow dichromated - all before painting. There is a triple coat of protection against flange rust.
- Lancaster vinyl silo pipe always includes UV modifiers and impact modifiers. These items are sometimes missing in other brands.
- Never use vinyl pipe with dry materials like shelled corn or high moisture corn. In fact, there is a static discharge danger with any material under 50% moisture. Static discharge may cause pipe failure or personal injury.
- Pipe support brackets should be spaced at 15' for steel pipe. For vinyl pipe, 12' spacing should be used. Do not install without pipe support brackets.
- Goosenecks and spreaders must be firmly attached to the silo, then to the fill pipe. Do not attach to fill pipe only.

- Bolts and nuts are included with steel pipe.
- Pipe up to 6' long may be shipped UPS.
